/Trunk Show/

photo

This trunk show, a collaboration between John Paras and my good friend Reshma, the brilliant creator behind one of my favorite bag brands (see a few of my past posts for some of her adorable clutches), Trousseau, is one of THE main highlights of my weekend.

/Currently.../

This past week has been pretty laid back and to my consternation, I've found myself wanting to be in constant hibernation, only heading out to hang with friends for a bit and a couple dinner runs.

I just finished reading...

I am now currently reading...

I've currently found myself incessantly listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers every chance I can get, thanks to a friend of mine who is heading over to Hong Kong to see their concert next month.

Obsessing over...

I am highly highly HIGHLY anticipating their new collaboration album, Watch the Throne.

/J & J/

Around sometime in May, a very good friend of mine, Jacq, gave me the privelege to style her engagement pictures with her then-fiancé (now-husband), Janssen. They rented a gorgeous sailboat over at the yacht club in Subic, a 2-hour drive out of town from Manila. The photographer for these prenuptuals was Oly Ruiz of Metrophoto, who happens to be an incredibly talented, yet modest photographer and I was absolutely delighted to take part in this project that was history-in-the-making into my 2 friends' road to marriage.

A couple days prior, I had spent quite some time with Jacq and Janssen choosing outfits that would work best with one another's, as well as what would work best with the location. The first location for this shoot took place at a stable called El Kabayo then the rest of the day was shot at the Subic Bay Yacht Club. To both my joy and relief, the outfits + accessories that we chose for this shoot, together with the beautiful setting resembled exactly what they wanted: romance and timelessness.

/Bright Coral/

Lately I've been replacing my usual black, white, and gray separates with colors that lean more towards the bright side. In doing so, it's positively altered my attitude towards the heat, despite having surprise downpours on most days. I've actively been on the lookout (for quite some time now) for brighter pieces and scalloped bottoms, so I was ecstatic to find this scalloped skirt in coral. Last weekend, I wore the same skirt paired with a breezy animal print tank and a beige blazer to a Cirque show and a movie. Going to shows or the circus always reminds me of those delightful days in my childhood when my parents would pick us up after school and bring us.
