/Quilt/
After spending so many days in a row wearing pants, going back to my usual uniform of shorts and an airy top felt really, really good. I always find it incredibly uncomfortable to wear pants in such tropical weather, but sometimes it's always good to change up routine items you consistently rotate from your closet.
This quilted jacket is another item I can add to my collection of quilted things... if I can call 2 quilted jackets a collection. It's light enough to wear for a long duration in the heat and yet versatile enough to be worn in places of colder climates.
Wearing a quilted jacket from Zara, Forever 21 bandeau, H&M Conscious Collection shorts, Zara pumps, Valentino sunglasses, Rolex watch, and vintage rhinestone bracelet.
I've been working with my family's business for some time now, and go back and forth from Cebu to Manila every week, so being back in Manila for longer than usual has made me so unbelievably happy! I know I can definitely say some of my friends are sick of me saying that, but I truly, truly am.

/Circle of Fun/
Wearing a Kate Moss t-shirt c/o a good friend of mine from his trip to Thailand, NY&Co. trousers, Aldo shoes, Mango belt, Rolex watch, Trousseau bracelet, vintage rhinestone bracelet, and H&M sunglasses.
My 2 friends (Tricia and Leanne -- those cutie pies enjoying their ice cream cones up above) and I decided to go on a short culture tour to Quezon City with the hopes of catching some sun for a specific type of shoot, but missed it by about 30 minutes. On our trip to the Quezon City Memorial Circle, which actually houses the second stop we went to, the Circle of Fun, I had realized a sad, but true fact: I've been living in Manila for about 8 years and have never visited the Memorial Circle. It was a nice open space, reminiscent of a local Central Park. I'm actually already thinking of going back to visit the culture center/museum. Walking toward the Circle of Fun, we found tiny little benches that could only seat 2 people, so naturally we walked down a street that should be called Honeymoon Lane. The Circle of Fun was closed when we got there, but that was one of the best things about it. There was an eerie, yet exciting feeling going through the closed rides and seeing all the clown faces, and if it weren't for my one-size-too-big heels, I would've wanted to stay and skip along through more of the park.
A special thanks to Leanne and Tricia for being wonderful photographers for the day, and also to Tricia for letting us in the closed park! I can honestly say, though, that in having 2 photographers on you (most especially if they're your friends) with random strangers watching brings about both feelings of being a rockstar and self-consciousness.

/Karlie/
There's something (or maybe everything) about Karlie Kloss that I am girl-crushingly fascinated with. I've been a huge fan of hers since I first saw her open Carolina Herrera's show in 2008, I LOVE the fact that she has such unique beauty and that she contributes her incomparable modeling skills to lifelong ballet lessons, the fact that she, too, was born in Chicago, is incredibly sexy and down-to-earth at the same time, and am unabashedly admitting the fact that I watched her tribute to Topshop video (produced by Nick Knight) about 34 times... tried to walk her walk and I have painfully accepted the fact that I need lifelong lessons on being suave. So for now, maybe I'll just seriously consider taking adult ballet lessons to gain a little more grace in my step.

/Currently/
Currently I'm in Cebu - been here for about 3 weeks now. There's not really much to do around here, but these are some of the things keeping me preoccupied:
Listening to...
Just finished reading...
This isn't something I normally read, but I gave it a go and decided to stop at the second book. I didn't feel the story intrigued me long enough to buy the third.
Now reading...
Went to the movies to watch...
Old movies I revisited...
Clueless - "Says who?! Calvin Klein. Looks like underwear!"
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - Cuz who doesn't like watching Christmas movies in the middle of July?!
Tv shows I'm watching...
Breaking Bad is just insanely good. I've been watching it for the past 5 seasons and find it incredibly mind blowing how Walt's character has done a complete 180 in comparison to season 1. THE BEST... Sad it's the final season.
Lusting over...
Anything Alexander Wang (most especially his bags and shoes) almost always creeps into my daily online-shopping-obsession routine... and in my dreams. His whole Spring and Fall 2012 collection is the epitome of androgynous perfection.
Girl crushing on...
Dree Hemingway
Elle France February 2012
Interview Russia August 2012
I've also been stumbling upon a bunch of terrific fashion, food, and DIY blogs. Ahh, the wide array of blog choices the internet brings us never fails to excite me.
