This week has been extremely busy and it's sad to see my vacation come to an end. My whole trip was filled with numerous shopping trips to various outlets, terrific meals (most notably Ruth's Chris and my all time favorite Portillo's), seeing old friends and family, visiting bars downtown, and celebrating St. Patty's Day with karaoke and ending the night at a fabulous multi-level club downtown called Sound Bar.

On Sunday, I took an early flight out to my home state of Illinois and was immediately hit by a strong feeling of nostalgia. One of my usual first stops is to visit family in the suburbs, and one stop I never fail to miss is the outlet. The weather has been so pleasurably crazy lately, but today's extremely warm weather made shopping all the more fun.

Some of the greatest things that come along with moving are new faces, new places, new culture, and a pleasantly inevitable new pace of life. With new changes comes new attitude, and in my case, adapting different ways to brighten up a cold and windy day.




I've been able to bear New York's cold weather with delight because of this coat, where it's been extremely easy to be motivated to take longer walks and enjoy the scenery.
