Wearing a Forever 21 top, Zara skirt, Mango shoes, H&M sunnies, vintage rhinestone bracelet, Trousseau by Reshma stingray bracelet, and H&M ring.

I've been all about the monochrome life lately and what better way to do it than with my favorite color. I've had this top for the longest time now, and though I wear it with just about anything, it's also one of the first things to get wrinkled when worn. (Note to self: buy mini clothes steamer that can fit in my bag). Monochrome has been such a huge hit this past season, and it looks like white-on-white (on white) is here to stay for the long run... starting with me (see this post).

This week has been a great one so far, with new things to look forward to. Some of those things include: starting up with yoga + boxing classes again with a good friend of mine (after a 2 year hiatus of that exercise regimen), finishing up a fantastic book by David Schwartz called The Magic of Thinking Big -- probably one of the most inspirational self help books I've read thus far, and planning a 3-week long vacation to Chicago and Las Vegas during my favorite season, Fall.

/Currently Into.../

Interior design has always been a special interest of mine, whether it be through the admiration of various colors and textures when roaming around a new place or perusing through a specialized architecture book, but these days, I've been getting my interior design fix through Houzz. I was first introduced to this app towards the latter part of last year, but whenever I've earmarked my time to complete some pertinent work on my laptop, I always seem to get completely sidetracked and find myself satisfyingly wasting my time going through interior decor inspiration. There's just something so pleasurable looking at the spaces that people create and the furniture, decor and colors they acquire in order to proudly be able to call it their home.

I've always been the type to have a love/hate relationship with chandelier or bib necklaces, but when my friend Anj introduced me to this Lanvin x H&M one that had newly arrived to her store, I just couldn't resist. I feel that the teal color would give any ordinary outfit that little extra pizzazz, and the best thing about it is the way it makes the texture from the different layers of shapes stand out. This necklace is just one of the items that can be found in Anj's store - Zsak Bags... she's got an incredibly wide array of branded goodies by Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and the like at ridiculously low prices (I'm not even kidding).

Though the weather here has been extremely rainy lately, I think I'm still undergoing the monochrome white syndrome that's usually a perpetual trend during sunnier/warmer seasons. Maybe subconsciously, seeing and wearing white-on-white just puts me in a happier mood (despite the weather conditions), but ultimately I think monochrome outfits in any color look so much more cleaner and crisper.

/Playing Stylist/

Last year I had the privilege of taking on a few styling projects and I have to say that at my very first styling gig, I had an incredibly fun time. Especially since I had just finished my course at Parsons, styling was exactly the breath of fresh air I needed coming off a career in Finance.

In September, I had the pleasure of working with the good people over at Alt Eyewear, an up-and-coming eyewear brand here in the Philippines. Working with all the essential elements of the shoot < Anju (one of the owners of the brand), Dan (the photographer), the models, and Angie (the hair and makeup artist) > were what made the saying "working hard or hardly working" come to life. I had such a fun time that it hardly even felt like work, met some fantastic people, and am so pleased with the outcome of the entire project.

One of my favorite couples (and also some of my really good friends) got married last December and I was so honored that they wanted me to style (while their photographer was good friend, Pio) their engagement shoot. Though I had planned Mazie and Bokie's outfits ahead of time, sadly, I had to be in Cebu during the day of the shoot. Thank God though for Facetime and iMessage -- these were what we used to address questionable outfit concerns throughout the entire shoot.
